Here is the finished raffle basket. I love to be able to re-use things and the colourful ribbon came from a planter that my Mom received. Thanks Mom!!! I sure hope we raised a lot of money for Pug Rescue. You can check out their website at www.pugalug.com. I got a great new mug for my morning tea. There were about 50 pugs in attendance and it was absolutely hilarious!!! Sydney is still laying on the couch, barely able to open her eyes. We had a blast! Can't wait until the party in June.
Here is my plaid card. I LOVE plaid and of course, paired with my new obsession, Nestabilities, it is even more fun! This is a card that can be given to a man. I have a difficult time doing cards for men at times, but this one is a contender for my Dad, either for his birthday, which is this month, or for Father's Day.
My amazing best friend and fellow business partner Bonnie, came over this evening and we had so much fun making a few accordian photo albums for the Pugalug on Sunday. I will post them when I have them all blinged out with puggie stuff and ready to go.
Well, good night everyone and I will hopefully be on here again tomorrow for the next challenge. I went a bit AWOL last week for reasons that have totally escaped me now, but I am back and determined to keep up with as many challenges as possible. Thanks for visiting!
My new obsession is Spellbinders' Nestabilities. And I have used them in layers on this card, as well as in the corners. Again, my old camera is not too precise and I miss my new one!!!! But, I will get a newer one that will surely pick up more details than old faithful. I also put in some bumble bees, which are really cute.
Here is my version of Day 78. I did it with a pug theme for the continuing project for the Pugalug. My old camera does not take pictures as well as my new camera, which no longer works because it was dumped in the Caribbean Sea by my husband and I when we tipped our 2-person tube in the mangroves of Xel-Ha. That's another story. I hope to get a new one soon.
Embossed pugs on a card, what could be more fun than that??? Well, add to that, the amazing background bubble stamp from Outlines Rubber Stamp Company, and an embossing resist technique. So much fun, just like pugs!!!
Here is another card for the raffle basket. LOVE the pug stamp by..............well............I can't see a name on the stamp, just an address. The first time I actually remembered to name the stamp company and I can't find it! Again, I used my new Nestabilities, my new addiction. And I am so glad that they can be used with the Cuttlebug!
Here is beautiful little Sydney Woo, laying on the loveseat with her Poppa and using one of her back legs as a chin rest. I don't know if you can see or not, but her little chin is resting on her leg between her knee and little foot. She was trying to get warm on the comfy blanket and seemed to be curling up as tight as she possibly could. We had to have our cute electric fireplace going this weekend because it has been so chilly, especially in our new basement/family room/laundry area/craft room. So adorable!
Here are some cards in the following few posts that I am doing for the annual Pugs In Niagara Pugalug which raises money for Pug Rescue. The event is being held this Sunday at the Port Weller Community Centre from 2-4pm. If you are interested in attending and supporting beautiful pugs and their searches for their 'forever homes', please check out Facebook and search for the group 'Pugs In Niagara'. I am doing a basket of pug papercrafts and will show the items separately and then when the basket is all put together. The basket will be a raffle prize to raise money for the cause. It will be so much fun!!!! Lots of pug people with their babies all dressed up and decked out for the occasion. I can't wait! My sweet husband said to me today, 'Do I have to come?????' He knows that at the very least, little Sydney Woo will be wearing her pink pearl necklace. He would rather that she attend sporting her Pittsburgh Steeler collar and leash. Haaaa haaaa!!!!!
This card was made using my new and amazing Spellbinders Nestablilties, alcohol inks, and my wonderful cuttlebug. Love them all!
The sitting area. Nice and cozy! There are two sewing baskets in the background, the tall one is my beloved Grandmother's and the smaller one beside it is mine, one that she purchased for me on Christmas several years ago.
I have organized all of my plain card stock and designer paper in accordian folders. I found this brilliant idea on a website that had ideas for craft room organization. I wish I could remember the name of it! It is so handy to have all of the colours organized. Much better than when I had them in one drawer all together.
Part of my new craft room! I have almost everything organized. Some things that are not used as often as others will be going to a back storage area on the same level soon. I just have to decide which ones and we have to get the storage area organized with some new shelves, etc. The table I use is from my Mother-In-Law's house and is her old kitchen table.
Here is my 'leaf' card. I love this cute stamp with the teeny birds and pretty tree. I have to remember to start posting the stamp company names, so will start doing that with my next post. Well, I have to run - have an appointment at the salon. I don't want to get out of bed though, even to go to the salon because my little puggie girl is so snuggly!!! See you soon!!
I am an avid paper crafter and I love to make all kinds of greeting cards. I also scrapbook and sew. I am married to my amazing husband George and we have a beautiful little princess pug named Sydney Woo.
